Here at Oakridge Acres we care about the environment!

• Certified organic by Ecocert Canada which conducts random inspections throughout the year.  We do not use commercial fertilizers or sprays.

• An environmental farm plan is in place in cooperation with the Ontario Soils and Crop agency

• Partnered with Grand River Conservation Authority to plant 500 trees in the spring of 2015.  This will further protect environmentally sensitive areas and provide additional wildlife habitat.

• Partnered with Ontario government to promote increased green energy production.  Installed 2 solar panels which harvest the suns energy.  Energy is transferred directly to the Cambridge North Dumfries hydro grid.

• Intentionally recycle all cardboard and plastics from store.   This keeps it from ending up in our landfills or oceans.
