A Country Welcome
Welcome to scenic Oakridge Acres, the home of Well Fed Food! By shopping at our country meat store, you can be confident that you are getting top quality, healthy food products while receiving the warm, friendly service that seems to come naturally to country folk. By coming to our farm, you have the opportunity to meet the farmers that raise the animals. We invite you to see first hand how your food is grown - food that's good for your family and good for your community.
Our Products
Oakridge Acres Country Meat Store carries a wide variety of food products representing over 40 family farms and producers from around the region. We feature mouth watering Black Angus beef from our own herd, along with a variety of drug/hormone free meat products from other local farms including omega 3 chicken, pork, lamb, turkey, elk, venison, buffalo, wild boar, rabbit, pheasant and fish. In addition to meat, we now carry an expanded selection of our community's harvest. This includes fresh local produce, a selection of fine cheeses and dairy products, home baking and fresh bread, heritage preserves, honey and a line of frozen entrees made on site.
The "Well Fed" Approach
Healthy food starts with healthy animals. We are confident in the meat we sell because we know exactly how it's raised. We treat our animals humanely and with respect. Our beef steers have room to roam in a natural environment where they are fed a diet consisting of 80% hay (grasses) and 20% grain (oats and barley) - most of which is grown on our 175 acre farm just outside of Ayr, Ontario. The steers are completely hormone and drug free and the beef is processed in government inspected facilities. This natural healthy approach to farming is embraced by all of the farm families that have partnered with us.
